Election season is upon us across the country, with gubernatorial races in 8 of the states CareSource serves. While it’s still too early to predict many of the outcomes, one thing is clear: we are prepared to navigate what comes next.
For months, our Government Affairs team has been proactively building relationships with candidates, elected officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders across the political spectrum. Our relationship-first strategy means we are ready to engage with new or incumbent administrations from day one, advocating for policies that strengthen access to high-quality, affordable care.
As always, our approach remains nonpartisan and grounded in our mission to improve health outcomes for the members and communities we serve. While today's political environment presents real challenges, I remain confident in the foundation we’ve built and our ability to make a meaningful impact in the months ahead.
Over the past year, CareSource Mission has strategically expanded our state advocacy efforts and strengthened our presence at the federal level.
We spend significant time educating federal and state policymakers about the benefits of managed care and what sets CareSource apart. We work to dispel bad information and explain how our mission-driven, nonprofit approach makes us a trusted partner as states navigate new policy rules, including Medicaid work requirements and a heightened focus on fraud, waste, and abuse.
Those intentional investments have positioned CareSource as a trusted resource and thought leader.
Regardless of election outcomes, those relationships will be critical as states begin to implement new Medicaid rules, navigate tighter budgets and address the changing needs of their communities.
None of this work is possible without champions like you. Your membership enables CareSource Mission to continue strengthening key relationships and educating policymakers. Your support ensures our collective voice is represented where critical decisions about the future of managed care are made.
Together, we can continue advancing thoughtful, member-centered policies that improve access and create better health care for all.
